In Srimad Bhagavatam, Uddhava poses several questions to Sri Krishna and the Lord answers them. In the 23rd chapter of the 11th canto of the Bhagavata purana, Sri Krishna uses a story to illustrate how the virtue of tolerance and subsequent control over the mind can be attained. This teaching of Sri Krishna is called the Bhikshu Geeta.
It is the story of how a man who was deeply attached to wealth undergoes resultant suffering. From that suffering is born right thinking from which comes dispassion and eventually, wisdom.
